#this is the essence of louis for me#this mix of overt outward invincible behaviour that cannot be controlled#that outgoing energy that they’ve actually said is what stops their band from being boring#but he has these things in his life that he knows are his flaws#you can tell that they bother him because they’re in the forefront of his mind even years later#and he has this side to him that is so vulnerable so worried about being weak#where these faults in him make him worried like he might let someone down#but he fights against them he transparently tries to make them his strengths#the shitty behaviour in school where he was no doubt out of control became the essence of the band#they even said without louis they’d be the most boring band in the world#and that outgoing behaviour gave the boys time to come out of their shells and get stable footing during the x factor#and his audition that he keeps apologizing for because it bothers him#but he has worked so hard on his voice and now he’s written an album#the vulnerable side he tries to make stronger so he doesn’t let anyone down (x)
